Ashley Gearing and Andrea Young are no strangers to Nashville's music scene. Both have numerous accolades and individual successes to their names; working with some of the biggest and baddest in the business. The girls bonded while touring internationally with the former, critically-acclaimed band, Farewell Angelina. During the pandemic, they took a deep dive into songwriting together and found that the music they were creating needed a home… and that their chemistry needed a stage of its own. Having always been identified as the “wildcards” of any project they were involved in, the band was born. The duo exposes Ashley’s powerhouse vocals and rhythmic acoustic guitar alongside Andrea’s ferocious fiddle playing & angelic harmonies… add in the dynamic of their songwriting and the deck is stacked. American Songwriter calls The Wildcards a “Soaring new partnership….with talent in spades.”

Joining forces with some of the world’s finest musicians, they have a show filled with unforgettable original music & cover song favorites; led by irresistible harmonies and fiery musicianship. Their high energy performances have captured attention and secured opening slots for such artists as Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts, Mitchell Tenpenny, Walker Hayes, Joe Nichols, Lainey Wilson, Chris Lane and many more. A recent highlight performance was opening for the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Gala where they were joined on stage by megastar Keith Urban.

The duo has been featured in American Songwriter, Off The Record Live, & CMT for the release of singles, “Light On” & “Pour The Wine" from their “Bar Room Sessions” collection.  Live, acoustic, and just plain fun, the “Bar Room Sessions” captures the raw magic of the pair spreading a little light….pouring a little wine….and sharing their hearts on stage. 

In 2022, Ashley and Andrea were selected to be a part of the FOX Hit Drama Monarch: Ashley as an integral part of the studio vocal team and Andrea as a fiddle player on the show. The series stars Susan Sarandon, Trace Adkins and Anna Friel and its debut episode captivated 10.3 million viewers the first week.

Currently, The Wildcards are finalists on (HBO) MAX and Magnolia Network’s “Second Chance Stage.” You can stream their exciting journey alongside other talented contestants on either network. Judges include Country Star Martina McBride, Star Actor and Singer Taye Diggs, and SNL’s Heidi Gardner. Alongside their appearance on the show, the duo has released 2 singles: “Radioactive,” an Imagine Dragons cover that they performed on the show and “All The Wildcards,” an original song they played during the finale.
